Public Records Requests

Oregon Public Records Law (ORS 192) allows the public to inspect or receive copies of most district records. Use the pathways below to submit and manage requests.

How to Submit a Request

  • Email: publicrecords@rsd105.com
  • Mail/In Person: Public Records Officer, Reedsport School District 105, 100 Ranch Road, Reedsport, OR 97467
  • Phone: (541) 271-3656
  • Describe records with dates, departments, and key terms for faster processing.

Response Timeline

  • Acknowledgement within 5 business days.
  • Fulfillment within 10 business days after acknowledgement, or written estimated completion date if additional time is required.
  • District staff provide updates when timeline estimates change.

Ways to Narrow a Request

  • Limit by date range.
  • Identify departments, schools, or staff.
  • Use keywords likely to appear in records.
  • Request a representative subset before full production.

Fee Schedule (Actual Cost Basis)

The district does not charge for the first 30 minutes of staff time. If estimated costs exceed $25, you will receive a written estimate for approval before processing continues.
