Our commitment
Reedsport School District is committed to making our website usable by everyone. Our goal is to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and to continually improve the experience for all visitors.
What are we doing?
- Designing and building new pages to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
- Providing text alternatives for non‑text content (images, icons, and media).
- Ensuring sufficient color contrast and scalable text.
- Maintaining logical heading order and keyboard‑accessible navigation.
- Using clear link names and descriptive labels for form controls.
- Adding captions/transcripts for multimedia where feasible.
Standards we follow
We use the WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria as our target and reference guidance from the WAI‑ARIA Authoring Practices where appropriate.
Improvements are ongoing as we audit legacy content and templates.
How are we doing?
We review templates and newly added content on an ongoing basis and prioritize fixes when issues are identified. While we strive for full compliance, you may encounter items that are not yet fully accessible. We welcome your feedback so we can improve.
