About Reedsport School District

Reedsport School District serves students across two schools in the heart of coastal Douglas County: Highland Elementary School (K–6) and Reedsport Community Charter School (7–12). We offer the best of both worlds — the warmth and individual attention of a small district, and the drive and expectations of a college- and career-ready system.

Reedsport is a true Oregon coast community — river, forest, and dunes right in our backyard. Families enjoy access to the Umpqua Discovery Center, the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, and the Dean Creek Elk Viewing Area. Our schools partner with local organizations to bring learning outdoors and connect students to careers in conservation, hospitality, health, trades, and technology.
